Our client is seeking a Microsoft BI Developer to support their Technology, Strategy, and Services level of their business unit in Houston, TX. This resource will be helping to design, build, & deliver a Microsoft data warehouse with management reporting and scorecards for the client's IT Function Total Cost of Management reporting system.The primary expertise required is around Microsoft Power BI tools.
The Application Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology.
Responsibilities (include but not limited):
• Defines project scope, plans, and deliverables, including and proposed implementation dates
• Researches, analyzes, recommends, and implements new technologies, standard processes, tools, and techniques
• Assist in defining alternate solutions for the business problem
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
• 10+ years’ experience of Application Development experience required
• 2+ years' Microsoft Power BI experience
• 2+ years' Microsoft Power Query experience
• 2+ years' M query language experience
• 5+ Data Modeling / Relationship building experience
• 5+ years' Data transformations (measures, calculated columns, joins)
Preferred Experience:
• Knowledge of DAX language
• Knowledge of Data Stage 11.0
• SQL Server Studio experience
• Previous Oil & Gas experience
